Nothing makes me happier than to use products that are made with REAL ingredients and products that actually work!!! Yes, please!
With the weather being a bit erratic and stress being a constant variable my skin needed a boost! I have to say that I have recently been introduced and now obsessed with skincare facial masks and these complimentary products from ‘Masked Beauty Skincare’ which have been amazing for my skin. Particularly the purifying charcoal and diamond facial mask and the exfoliating coffee & chocolate facial masks have been an absolute game changer. When a product is free of parabens, phthalates, triclosan, formaldehyde, polyethylene microbeads, toluene, and bisphenol A (BPA)….um you can definitely count me in. I am very VERY aware of what I put into my body as well as what I put on my body.
A very popular ingredient to use for beauty and health is charcoal- or activated charcoal. Since charcoal can be used from a variety of different sources not all sources are intended for the health and beauty industry. So, it is important to know that charcoal made for the health and beauty industries are different versions than the charcoal used for outdoor grilling.
However, if you’re still scratching your head and still pondering from what natural sources than look no further; coconut shells, coconut husks, and other nut shells. Also, activated charcoal has its place within the medical arena too, so you may want to go and check it out, but for here and now I’m simply sticking with the benefits it has with health and beauty.
With a slight background of why charcoal is used, you can see why it’s sought out and used within health and beauty products. Charcoal can effectively absorb bacteria and toxins from the surface of the skin thus allowing you to have amazingly clear skin. Giving your skin that extra boost it desperately needed.
Coffee more specifically the caffeine from the coffee, just like charcoal, also has added health benefits when added to moisturizers, lotions, and facial exfoliates. Caffeine can help to even tone and smooth your skin from reducing inflammation and redness to helping to reduce the appearance of pesky dark under eye circle, to helping to reduce and diminish fine lines. Caffeine is not just your quick pick me up as part of your morning routine, but it’s also beneficial to applying to your skin topically!
I am so happy I found this company and if you want to give it a shot you will NOT be disappointed. Masked Beauty has other flavors too, so whatever skin ailment you are experiencing know there is help on the way!
*** One side note, is to be careful because charcoal can stain counter tops, towels, and clothes
